The Vodafone warehouse in Andeta Municipality near Accra booked comprehensive Forklift Operator Training through CIT.
Between the 2nd - 8th December, 2013 ten Vodafone operators attended the week-long training and we are happy to report that all of them received their OSHA certification for the duration of 2 years.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is a part of the United States Department of Labour, and is the US’s occupational health and safety standard.
The Vodafone trainees all received OSHA - 29CFR part 1910.178.
This certification module covers safety requirements relating to fire protection, design, maintenance, and use of fork trucks, tractors, platform lift trucks, motorized hand trucks, and other specialized industrial trucks powered by electric motors or internal combustion engines.
